South Africa Big Game Hunts

At Western Cape Game Safaris we offer World Class caliber African guided big game hunts on over 15,000 acres of quality managed hunting property. The most common big game animals hunted on our ranch are: gemsbuck, springbuck, blue wildebeest, Burchell’s zebra, kudu and red hartebeest but there are plenty more opportunities for additional big game to harvest. This is a family orientated business and we welcome families of all shapes and sizes. We have plenty of additional activities after the hunt for additional family members.

A Typical Day

At Western Cape Game Safaris our African big game hunting is mainly located in the Kalahari Desert is a large semi-arid sandy savannah in Southern Africa extending for 900,000 square kilometres, covering much of Botswana. It sustains a large variety of game, and hunting in the Kalahari gives hunters the opportunity to hunt gemsbuck, springbuck, blue wildebeest, Burchell’s zebra, kudu and red hartebeest, which are the most popular animals in this area. After a long day of hunting, we treat our guest in our beautiful beach house from where we do a lot of activities like shopping, zip lining, shark cage diving and more.

In addition to our Africa big game hunts, we also cater for non-hunting guests, providing Day Trip Game Drives, Photo Safaris, Shopping and Side Trips to the Cango Caves in Oudtshoorn and various other destinations in the Garden Route.

Western Cape Game’s accommodation ranges from luxury tented accommodation to 5-star lodges. We cater for everybody’s needs. In the picturesque Schoemanshoek Valley, halfway between Oudtshoorn and the Cango Caves. We ensure the best possible experience in personal service and sincere South African hospitality. Our food is second to none. We cater to families and offer a wide variety of authentic menu items to make sure everyone is happy and satisfied.

2025/26 Africa Big Game Hunting Packages

1-2 Hunters – $380 per day
3-4 Hunters – $350 per day
Observers / Photography – $250 per day

Touring (Non-hunting days) $150 per day
* Trophy fees are additional to the daily rates

About The Outfitter

In 2007 Danie and Janine Van Jaarsveld moved down to the Western Cape where they currently operate as Western Cape Game Safaris with a new face and new divisions to the business such as breeding with scarce species, tourism, hunting and community projects off the famous Route 62, part of the South African Garden Route & Klein Karoo. Here you will find our breathtaking fynbos game reserve which is home to an array of wildlife. We cater for non-hunting guests, providing day trip game drives, photo safaris, shopping, and side trips to the Cango Caves in Oudtshoorn, and various other destinations in the Garden route.
