A Typical Day
If you have paired your upland hunt with a waterfowl hunt, as most hunters do, we’ll start a couple hours before sunrise. First, you’ll have the chance to grab breakfast at The Watson Hunting Camp then we’ll head out to the field or water to chase ducks and/or geese. After you’re morning waterfowl hunt, you’ll have a chance to grab a snack or lunch (depending on when we return from our morning hunt) then we’ll chase pheasants. We have two options for you’re pheasant hunt: our private 165 acre CRP prairie preserve or on the 30,000 acres of public pheasant ground. For our public land hunts you’ll start your guided pheasant hunts we’ll give the introduction of the fields and hunting options in the area. With over 30,000 public acres if you don’t take your limit in the first couple fields, we’ll have plenty of field options for you to hunt. After your hunt, swing back to the Watson Hunting Camp, enjoy lunch and relax.
If you prefer to hunt our 165 acre CRP prairie preserve we’ll be able to coordinate a time for your hunt. Prior to the hunt you’ll purchase your birds. These hunts can be taken on your own or you can hunt with one of our guides and dog.
