WEEKEND WEATHER OUTLOOK
On Friday in southern Saskatchewan expect a high of 49 with a low of 24 and partly cloudy skies with NW winds at 10 to 15 mph. Saturdays high is expected to be 58 with a low of 35 and partly cloudy skies with WNW winds at 10 to 15 mph. Expect a high of 38 on Sunday with a low of 23 and a 60% chance of snow with N wind at 15 to 25 mph.
On Friday in southern Manitoba expect a high of 39 with a low of 25 and mostly cloudy skies and N winds at 10 to 15 mph. Saturdays high is expected to be 53 with a low of 31 and partly cloudy skies with NW winds at 10 to 15 mph. Expect a high of 36 on Sunday with a low of 21 and a 60% chance of snow with NNE winds at 20 to 30 mph.

WEYBURN FIELD OFFICE – WEYBURN, SK
Reported on 4-14 that they are starting to see a few Snow geese move in the area. Staff stated that at night they can hear some migrating north but no real huge numbers and none during the day.
LAST MTN LAKE FIELD OFFICE – LAST MTN LAKE REGION
Reported on 3-31 that they have seen a couple flocks of Snow geese but not any huge numbers yet. Staff stated that once the weather breaks it should be game on.
BOISSEVAIN FIELD OFFICE – BOISSEVAIN, MANITOBA
Reported on 4-7 that they have started to see some old snows. Staff stated that it’ll probably be another week or two before they start seeing the really strong numbers.

Brent reported on 3-31 that they are hearing reports of birds making across the border. He stated that it is very dry there with little to no sheet water anywhere. Brent finished by saying that with the warmer weather expected this weekend they feel they will be seeing a good push this weekend.

Dave reported on 4-7 that they haven’t seen a snow goose in about a week now. He stated that the small flock that was in the area has since moved on. Dave finished by saying that conditions are very dry due to the lack of snow over the winter.
